About Baskzone®
In 2003 we pioneered the use of linear quartz halogen infrared heaters for equine horse solariums. Our aim was to develop a system capable of delivering beneficial shortwave infrared in a way that is more horse and user-friendly than the traditional canopy-style solarium. Today’s range of BaskZone® ‘wrap around’ solariums and stable heaters are the outcome. Their versatility, affordability and low running costs have made them the solarium of choice worldwide. Our clients include rescue, medical and rehab centres, racing and showing yards, the Olympic and Asian Games, as well as numerous studs – not to mention a strong following of everyday horse and pony owners. But we are not resting on our laurels – we constantly strive to develop products for the benefit and well-being of horses.
In 2014 we supported a pilot study assessing the suitability of shortwave infrared heaters for zoological applications, which was run by the Reptile and Amphibian Working Group of the British and Irish Zoo Association. The trial was a great success and lead to a new range of BaskZone® heaters and controls which we have today, for zoological, kennels, catteries and farming use.
